Born in Paços de Ferreira, he always had a strong connection to Nature and sport. Despite the appeal of football, it was the natural beauty of the mountain that won him over.
The mountains outside his house always fascinated him and led him to explore the Agrela mountain range and the Leça river valley and later the Marão mountain range, Alvão and Gerês.
It was this strong connection to the mountain and the desire to make it known to others that led him to study tourism and tourist entertainment and, later, begin a solid career as a trekking guide.
However, his connection to nature takes him far beyond hiking, being involved in several publicity and environmental awareness projects as well as reforestation campaigns and strengthening our native forest.
Currently his passion takes him to explore the world and some of the most unknown and incredible places on our planet. Still, it is in the Gerês mountains that he truly considers himself at home and where he always feels inspired.
