We begin in the famous village of Folgosinho and soon visit the beautiful fountain in the village center and the statue of Viriato a little further on. It was through these mountains that the famous warrior walked, leaving such a profound mark on the memory and history of this people who claim to be descendants of Viriato.
We begin to climb the famous Galhardos road, a renowned roman road that, according to an ancient legend, was built at night by curious beings called "Galhardos".
Arriving at the Folgosinho pass, the horizons open up, we find ourselves on a small plateau with many agricultural areas and the Mondego river, still young, having just emerged from the mountains a little higher up!
We follow the ridgeline, appreciating the landscapes until we reach the intersection with the Cantarinhas road. This medieval road will guide us back to Folgosinho, where we will also visit the small quartz castle that guards this mountain village.
