Our route starts in the village of Jueus, one of Caramulo's typical mountain villages.
From here we'll slowly climb the slopes of the mountain until we reach the village of Pedrogão, where we can catch a glimpse of the famous penedo do equilíbrio.
The trail continues through pastures and rocky headlands, with a mountain landscape strongly influenced by pastoralism and agricultural work.
Next, we'll reach the highest point of the Caramulo mountain range, and one of the points of interest on our route, Caramulinho. From here we can see the Serra da Estrela to the east and, daylight permitting, the waters of the Ria de Aveiro to the west.
After contemplating the view, we'll return to the village of Jueus along the old paths that used to accompany the caleiros that supplied water to the village and the mills.
