The fight between moors and christians probably is on the origin of the traditional festival of the crosses and the annual pilgrimage to the chapel of Saint Bartholomew. On this walk we will follow a good part of these ancestral paths carved into the eastern slope of the Caramulo mountain.
Leaving this small village, we will look for the leafy trees of Sameiro park and, a little further, the Viveiros forest.
We begin to climb towards the mountain, from where we begin a scenic descent that will take us to discover a hidden medieval causeway and its bridges.
We also will have the opportunity to visit the chapel of St. Bartholomew and the granite crosses that give name to this route.
