We started with a nice dinner to kick off our extended weekend programme. We took the opportunity to get to know each other and share information about our days of adventure and discovery.
On the first day we'll have an 18-kilometre route to discover the secrets of the Ribeira Sacra. Small paths through leafy oak forests will take us to the canyon of the River Sil and its incredible landscapes. We'll also discover the discreet and charming monastery of Santa Cristina.
The second day will be dedicated to getting to know the Mao River and its small rocky nooks and crannies. We'll follow this river for 17 kilometres and discover some of the vineyards that produce the famous Ribeira wine. On this day, we'll also visit the enormous necropolis of São Victor de Barxacova.
Finally, we'll discover the monastery of Santo Estevo de Ribas de Sil and its marvellous cloisters. It will be an enchanting 11-kilometre route through centuries-old oak forests with several viewpoints, chapels and mills forgotten by time.
