We depart from the village of Midões, where, in times past, lived João Brandão, also known as the "Terror of the Beiras". Walking along small trails and agricultural paths, we traverse extensive areas of vineyards, pastures, and woods.
We descend a little to admire the roman bridge of Sumes and to rejoin the Cavalos river, whose banks we will follow.
It is here that we find the famous colorful walkways that will lead us past waterfalls and oak forests to the small village of Vale de Gaios.
We climb a little through a old pine forest until we find, lost among a magnificent group of centuries-old cork oaks, a set of megalithic tombs carved into the granite.
We return to our starting point, certainly already full of the desire to begin again.
