From June 20th to 25th, we're heading off on a true alpine adventure! Our goal is to visit Gran Paradiso National Park in northern Italy and discover some of the most beautiful landscapes these mountains have to offer.
Let's go to paradise?
Day 1
Travel day to Italy. The meeting point will be Malpensa Airport - Milan, from where we will depart for our hotel.
Day 2
We start the day with a lovely breakfast, put on our boots, and head to the magical lake Loie. A 19 km trail with a total elevation gain of 1200 meters leads us to a hidden lake at an altitude of 2346 meters. A beautiful hike to discover the stunning alpine landscapes and start preparing our legs for the adventures of the following days!
Day 3
On this day we will look for marmots, these curious rodents from the squirrel family, which spend much of the year sleeping, as their territories are completely covered in snow. Before searching for the marmots, we still have a lake of crystal-clear water, like something out of a fairy tale. We will hike about 14 km with a total ascent of 1100 meters.
Day 4
The fourth day is more mountain day! We will climb to a mountain shelter located at over 2500 meters altitude, where we will spend the night. We have already entered the true alpine mountains and, if our strength still allows, we can climb a little higher to discover the stunning landscapes around our shelter. It will be an 11 km hike with a positive elevation gain of 1300 meters.
Day 5
After a climb we must descend, and this will be the day of descent. After a good breakfast, we will begin our descent into an enchanted valley. Little by little, the more technical terrain will give way to wider trails through forests of Nordic pines until we return to our hotel. It will be 17 km of great beauty with a cumulative descent of 1500 meters.
Day 6
This will be the return day. The morning will be free to stroll around and look for some souvenirs, and after lunch we return to Malpensa Airport - Milan.
