The route begins in the picturesque village of Formigueiro, in the parish of Riodouro. From here, we descend down a steep slope to Pisão, located next to Cavez stream. Among the ruins, it is still possible to observe artifacts from the old mill, a window into the region's industrial past.
After crossing the river, the trail winds along the slopes, remaining mid-slope and offering spectacular views. We will walk to the place of Rebolar, where we will be surprised by the rural landscape of the Meijoadela mudflaps, a hidden gem of natural beauty. Our next destination is Cabeceiras Adventure Park, an old forest house now converted into a center for nature sports lovers.
The highlight of the walk is the Nariz do Mundo peak, a natural viewpoint that offers a stunning panorama over the valley and the Cabreira mountain range. This is the perfect place for a break and to appreciate the magnificence of Minho nature.
We continue our journey to the village of Moscoso, known for its preserved nucleus of houses of popular architecture, offering a glimpse of traditional life. The walk ends with the return to the welcoming village of Formigueiro, completing an unforgettable adventure through the landscapes and traditions of Cabreira mountain.
