Santiago's water mills

2024-06-29

We will hike along the slope of the western side of Aboboreira mountain.

Here granite is king, being present in all the houses and walls that support the small fields where wheat is still cultivated by arm force.

Along our path we will have oak forests and small cultivated fields where some cows slowly graze.

At the highest points we find huge cliffs and rounded rocks that have stood the test of time as majestic guardians of the landscape.
