This will be a day for trekking and discovering some lesser-known spots in our serra da Estrela mountain.
Among crags and small high-altitude lakes, we'll follow paths used by shepherds toward the central plateau.
The glacial valley of the Zêzere river marks the landscape and transports us to a time when the ice moved slowly, shaping the landscape we see today.
We'll visit the famous Nave Mestra, where we'll find a narrow crevice that will lead us to a small granite house that inspires our imagination and lead to so many stories and legends.
We'll hike at an altitude of about 1,700 meters, where the harsh weather is evident in the erosion of the granite and the sparse vegetation, almost exclusively composed of broom and gorse.
