Stag rutting in the Catarredor Forest's

A special walk to try to hear and, with some luck, see the deer during the breeding season.

We will depart from the village of Candal and start walking a small trail that takes us through the woods to the village of Catarredor.

From here we begin an ascent, along a beautiful route through enchanted forests of ash trees, oaks and centuries-old chestnut trees, which transport us to a fairytale setting.

As we climb, the woodland will give way to dense thickets of heather, the favorite habitat of deer who, at this stage of the year, look for the best partners to reproduce.

We continued our journey with our eyes and ears open, heading down the slope back to our starting point.
