This weekend in western Portugal, we invite you to explore one of the most beautiful stretches of the Silver Coast. We'll spend two days discovering the mountains and seas that make this area so special.
Day 1
We arrive on Friday to set up our first camp and make sure all our equipment is working. We also have a group dinner where, in addition to socializing, we can prepare our steps for the following days. We'll have a short briefing to better understand the planning of this adventure and which equipment will be truly essential and which won't be so necessary...
Day 2
Our adventure begins at the São Miguel Arcanjo Fort, on the well-known Praia do Norte beach and the famous Nazaré Canyon. We'll pass through the town center, where we'll visit the "Sítio" (a historical site) to appreciate the fantastic views over the beach and town of Nazaré and learn about its legend.
We'll descend to the village, walking through its narrow streets until we find a small trail at the base of the Serra da Pescaria mountain, in a coastal setting between the mountains and the sea.
We pass through S. Gião, heading towards Salgados beach, where we'll take a break to recharge and contemplate the beauty that the ocean offers.
Let's climb up the Mangues mountain range, side by side with the cliffs that offer us a spectacle with their colors and shapes, passing through an area with traces of dinosaur footprints.
Arriving at Gralha beach, we will finally see the bay of São Martinho do Porto with its curious shell shape and the waters of a deep turquoise blue.
It's time to set up our camp and prepare a tasty dinner, while we enjoy the magnificent sunset that only this bay can provide.
Day 3
After a delicious breakfast prepared by our guides, we begin our hike towards the Mangues and Pescaria mountains, but this time, along a trail that takes us to explore the mountainous interior.
With more rural and mountainous scenery, the views become even more breathtaking, perfectly complementing the coastal stage of the previous day.
We leave for the end the challenge of climbing to the lookout post on São Brás hill, from where we will have a fantastic 360º view between the mountains and the sea, closing this adventure with a golden key!
