Starting in the village of Cando, our route will extend beyond the original trail. We’ll cross the Freita Plateau, a more arid and rugged area. Next, we’ll descend via Coice da Mula—a fairly technical descent—before joining the Ouro Negro trail, which will take us to the day’s highest point, Gorge.
The climb is quite technical and physically demanding. We’ll cross the Pena Amarela stream several times and climb from rock to rock until we reach Alto do ZEMOU.
Once the climb is over, we’ll return to the village of Cando, passing by its beautiful waterfall.
At the end, for those who wish to stay, there will be light snacks to enjoy and recharge our energy.
