Our trail takes us up close to the largest waterfall in mainland Portugal, where the Caima river plunges down the granite cliffs of the Serra da Freita in a free fall of about 60 meters.
It will be a circular route of about 8 km, which begins in a plateau area dominated by heather and gorse where small streams patiently carve their way through the landscape.
After admiring this incredible waterfall, we will follow the banks of the Caima on a very technical trail full of challenges and adventures.
We will cross the river and return along the opposite slope via a small trail with other small but charming waterfalls and wooden bridges.
Arriving at the village that gives its name to this waterfall, we will have time to rest and relax a little before resuming our trail to our starting point.
It will be a day walking among rocks, rivers and legends, feeling the pulse of the mountains and renewing our commitment to genuine experiences and transformative challenges.
